Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga comprises asana or posture work, breathing practice (pranayama) and deep relaxation techniques, occasionally there will be some meditation / visualisation and sound work.

The classes begin with warming up, yoga postures with emphasis on moving with the breath. Towards the end of the class there will be a period of winding down with a time to explore a breathing technique, finishing with a deep relaxation. The classes also incorporate some basic philosophy of yoga. You will be encouraged to follow the principles of yoga - practicing with mindfulness, being guided by your breathing and not by your ego.

Each person works at their own pace. You are responsible for your own safety during your yoga practice.
